Group therapeutic support
Our group therapeutic support groups are safe and welcoming spaces.
How can group therapy help?
Therapeutic group sessions can be an effective option for children and young people to develop social skills and confidence, and provide a safe space to learn coping mechanisms.
They can also provide a safe, reflective, collaborative space for caregivers to explore their challenges, and celebrate their successes.

Creative Roots
A creative & nature‑based therapy group for young people
Creative Roots is a warm, welcoming therapy group for young people aged 13–15 who want space to express themselves, build confidence, and feel calmer. Through a blend of creative arts and nature‑based activities, the group helps young people explore their feelings, develop coping skills, and connect with others in a safe, supportive environment.
Sessions will take place at Whistlewood Common with activities ranging from art-making and mindfulness to outdoor creativity around the firepit (weather and safety permitting).

Attachment Group
This group programme, inspired by Kim Golding’s Foundations for Attachment, is all about helping foster carers feel more confident with therapeutic parenting. Each session mixes reflection, discussion, and hands-on activities to explore how developmental trauma affects children and how carers can respond in a thoughtful, connected way.
