The DECC is a psychologically informed trauma and attachment service that supports children and young people in care. We operate across Derby City and Derbyshire, providing individual and systemic therapeutic support.

Last year we reached 325 children and young people through a range of trauma and attachment informed interventions and appointments, targeted around their individual needs.

We also supported 1282 carers and professionals in developing their understanding and confidence as part of a child's Therapeutic Parenting Team or support network.

We provide a range of interventions and approaches, designed to be both flexible and systemic. This allows us to tailor the next steps for each child or young person’s unique journey towards therapeutic recovery.
