Accepting referrals from professionals working with young people in care

Resources for young people, parents and carers

We provide trauma and attachment informed services across Derby and Derbyshire that support children in care and their therapeutic parenting team. Delivered in partnership with Derby & Derbyshire Emotional Health & Wellbeing Service.

The DECC currently offers

Direct Intervention for children and carer/network

Eligibility: Children in the care of the Local Authority and living within Derbyshire boundary.

Attachment Group for foster carers

Eligibility: Children in the care of the Local Authority and living within Derbyshire boundary and Special Guardianship Order placements.

WRAP intensive direct delivery

Eligibility: Children with plans for step down placement transitions.

One off bookable consultations for networks of children

Eligibility: Children in care of the Local Authority and placed within 25 miles of the Derbyshire border, young people who are Care Leavers, children who have experienced sexual abuse and children displaying harmful or problematic sexual behaviours.

Reflective Practice groups

Commissioner identified: Residential staff, Foster Carer groups, Leaving Care teams, Supervising Social Worker groups.

Training

An annual programme of training advertised across Derby City and Derbyshire Social Care colleagues, Foster Carers and Residential Carers.
