Action for Children Services

Children and young people aged 5 to 17 who have a disability, does not have to be diagnosed. Disabilities could be a learning disability, autism, ADHD, global developmental delay, complex medical needs and more. Typically the children and young people coming along to our services will not have the opportunity to take part in any out of school activities. This means that they and their parents are not getting a break from each other. We can either help try and find community activities or they can come along to our activities.

Children and young people aged 5 to 17 with complex needs such as learning disabilities, autism, medical needs and more. The family will need to have a social worker who will assess the need for an overnight break. If the assessment finds that there is a need for an overnight break a referral will be made to a multi agency panel where a decision will be made.

If you are struggling to find activities in the community that would support the families that you are working with, we can help you navigate the wealth of information that is available. Message us and our Community Development Co-Ordinator will help you find the services that you are looking for
