What NCT do

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust deliver children’s social care and early help services in Northamptonshire.

NCT vision is:

“Children, young People and families at the heart of all we do – in every decision we make and every action we take.”

NCT ambition is:

Our ambition is to make a sustainable improvement to the lives of children, young people and families.”

Our purpose is to relentlessly improve outcomes for children, young people and families through excellence in practice. We ask that our staff and stakeholders do the best job possible, every single day because that is what children, young
people in families deserve and have a right to expect.

We take our responsibility seriously alongside everyone who works with and cares about children and young people. We are committed to do all that we can to ensure children, young people and families live safely, fulfil their potential, develop resilience and enjoy good health and wellbeing. This includes being involved and respected at home, at school, in their communities and, most importantly, being part of all decisions that affect them. We want to send a clear message about how important their welfare is to us and how important they are to our future. Northamptonshire Children's Trust

West Northants SEND Information, Advice and Support Service is a statutory service which operates at ‘arm’s length’ from West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) and the Intergrated Care Board (ICB) provides free, confidential, impartial advice, and support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their parents/carers.

We offer advice to professionals who support children and young people with SEND and their families.

SEND IASS empowers parents and carers to play an active and informed role in their child’s education, whilst promoting good working relationships between children, young people, parents, education settings and the Local Authority (LA).

The team provides a range of flexible services which include training, referrals to statutory and voluntary agencies, access to local and national support groups, telephone support and face to face meetings, when required.

At their heart, Family Hubs are about bringing everything together to help families get the right information and help when they need it, giving babies a great start for life and through to adolescence. West Northants Family Hubs and North Northants Family Hub
