How to get support

We know life can be hard, and we're here to help. We can offer up to six sessions with a trained youth worker to help support you through challenges you may be experiencing with relationships, your confidence, self-esteem and much more.

Support for young people

We all need a bit of support every now and then, someone to talk to about how we are feeling or someone to support us to overcome challenges. We know that life can be hard, and we would like to help you with that. Are you experiencing any of the below right now?

  • Relationship/friendship struggles
  • Currently or have in the past experienced bullying
  • Low self esteem
  • Low confidence
  • Family struggles
  • Feeling isolated
  • Need a person to vent to about life in general
If this sounds like you, we would love to speak to you.

You can call or text us on 01872 722831 between 9.00am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday

Call or text us

If you contact us outside of these times, a worker will contact you the next working day. We will ask you some questions that will help us understand what you feel you might want some support with, and we will then arrange for one of our trained youth workers from your area to contact you for a chat. If we feel we will be able to support you, the worker will arrange to see you in person (we can also do online if you prefer) once a week for a about 6 weeks. They can meet you wherever you feel most comfortable, this might could include:

  • The beach
  • Coffee shop
  • School
  • Home
  • Going for a walk
  • Any other place you would prefer

The sessions will be led by you, focussing on the things that you feel are most important. Sessions may be discussions, or we might do an activity or share resources with you that we feel may be supportive. Each week we will agree with you the next steps, and also help you look at other support options in the community, so that once our support has finished you feel confident to continue to reach your goals without us.

All of our sessions are confidential, meaning we will not share with others what we have discussed, unless we are concerned about your safety, or the safety of someone else. You can read our full confidentiality statement here.
