Single Session Approach

This is initially a one-off meeting to help you explore the situation you would like to discuss and identify the next steps that work for you and your family.

A Single Session Approach is often enough to help clarify, reassure, or highlight areas for change and you may find no further sessions are needed, however if you choose to access further support with the Family Hub, we can help you to access any further support. Sessions can last up to 1 hour and you will be able to leave with an agreed action plan.

  • We’ll also help you to understand and celebrate the power of normality.

Step-by-Step

This support group is for parents and children who have additional needs that require extra help and support to their pathway of developmental progression. This group often gives parents the vital opportunity to create a peer support network which share strategies, sign posting and emotional comfort reducing isolation and offers families with a child with developmental delay, diagnosed conditions and developmental concerns to meet together in a safe environment.

The group works with families in order to support their child’s development in early years provider, school and at home and empowers parents to be confident in their child’s needs and understand each other. The group offers a variety of accessible and inclusive activities differentiated for the individual children’s needs within the group and offers a welcoming, safe, enabling and supportive environment for children to play, grow, explore and experiment.
