We run groups and programmes for families in Plymouth who care for children with additional needs.
A ‘drop in’ and play group, for children with additional needs and their parents. We guide and support transitions to school and nursery. We also create opportunities to work with professionals from CDC, Speech and Language and Pias to support with communication and language.

Our FAB trained workers visit Derriford Hospital’s Neonatal and Transitional Care wards every Wednesday, offering support to parents and families experiencing the birth of a premature or poorly baby/babies.
At this sometimes difficult and challenging time we are able to offer parents emotional, practical and financial support, a friendly chat, and signposting to relevant agencies and local Family Hubs/Children centres where appropriate.
Referrals can be made by partner agencies or families can make self-referrals.
You will be allocated a Family Support Practitioner who will do targeted pieces of work identified through the referral.
