Fit For Purpose

A programme for young people aged between 16 and 24 who are exploring a career or further training in sport and fitness.

An opportunity to develop your skills for the world of work in sports and fitness, boost your confidence, improve fitness and make new friends.

Tell me more about the programme

Fit for Purpose is designed to give you the skills you need to pursue a career in the field of sports and recreation. On successful completion of the course, you will receive a SCQF Level 4 Skills for Work: Sports and Recreation qualification. You will learn through a mix of hands-on practical activities, employability coaching and learning industry specific essentials, such as health and safety legislation.

Highlights of the course include:

  • Free Nike sports kit
  • Links with City of Glasgow, Clyde and Kelvin colleges
  • Opportunity to try a variety of sports, from archery to judo to climbing
  • Personal development and employability support

The programme mainly takes place at our Govan offices. It is four days a week, for six weeks, 10am-3pm. The next course begins on....
